- 1) Set last empty spot to zero.
- 2) Go to start of the heap (HR).
- 3) Get next 4 bytes of offset.
- 4) If zero, we've reached the end of used memory. If empty spot is zero go to step 9. Otherwise set base offset to 0 and go to step 9.
- 5) Skip 4 bytes.
- 6) Get next 1 byte of entry type.
